Flattered: Burning Ring Of Fire
"Ring of Fire" is a country song popularized by Johnny Cash and co-written by June Carter. The single appears on Cash's 1963 compilation album, Ring of Fire: the Best of Johnny Cash.
The song was recorded on March 25, 1963 and became the biggest hit of his career, staying at number one on the charts for seven weeks.Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, while also being the most obnoxious. Now, I am a huge fan of covers, they tickle my fancy (not gonna lie.) However, I wanted to share in comparison, the original with some covers (or as I call them 'blankets') of Johnny's biggest hit.
I must warn, some of these may be considered slightly disrespectful, others are decent & some I prefer:

Frank Zappa - Ring Of Fire.mp3
Joaquin Pheonix - Ring Of Fire.mp3
Social Distortion - Ring Of Fire.mp3
